Liverpool is now preparing to release their third and final offer to get Florian Wirtz. The nominal value is said to reach £118m. That’s the amount Bayer Leverkusen are asking for. If the offer is accepted, Wirtz would become Liverpool’s most expensive player in history, breaking the club’s transfer record.
According to the Daily Mail, the German side Leverkusen has previously lowered their initial asking price from £126m, opening up a huge opportunity for Liverpool to complete the transfer shortly.
The German midfielder, Wirtz, had an impressive 2024-25 season, featuring in 45 matches in all competitions while scoring 16 goals and assisting another 12 times, including 10 goals and 12 assists in the Bundesliga. He averaged 0.84 goal involvements every 90 minutes and ranked among the best creators in Europe with 70% shot accuracy.
